Verification rules

How we decide pass / flag / block

  1. 01
Attestation must be re-signed within the prior 120 days to be considered current.
  2. 02
Work-history gaps > 30 days must have an explanation field populated.
  3. 03
Self-reported data is cross-referenced against NPDB and state board data; conflicts surface as discrepancies.

Real-time on attestation

CAQH pushes real-time updates when a provider re-attests. UPP also polls every 24h as a safety net.

Source-down handling

When the authority is unreachable

If a provider has not authorized UPP in their CAQH ProView roster, the credential is marked unverifiable via CAQH and the provider is prompted to grant access.
